Book V.S. Movie

I honestly think the book was better than the movie because the book went into detail about certain events but like in the begining at the reaping they said Haymitch passed out off the stage because he was drunk another example is when Rue died they never told us about her dad going crazy in District 11 with all of these things missing from the book and the some parts missing from the movie it all made me confused and i kept tapping my neighbor saying "didn't _________ happen in the book. After all, the movie was good but I think A LOT of the main events were missing and i like the book better.
My favorite part in the movie was when she was mocking the game makers by saying "let the odd's be in your favor" in a funny voice then the next day she was IN the hunger games.
As far as the characters, I think they picked  really good characters Katniss face, body, and thinking all matched her hostile personality. I think Katniss was a very strong girl. She took care of her mother and her little sister by hunting and stuff. I think her personality stuck out the most when Peeta said he was in love with her and she went backstage pushed him against the wall, chocked him,and started yelling at him. I loved her! she kind of reminded me of me becaus enot that friendly LOL

colors

We are one nation why cant we just face it, can we not all just stop with the segregation?
All of our naked faces we're all different races but can we just pace it?
take it slow, lets all set a goal.
We all can become one whole, my black is beautiful his white is beautiful,
her pink, his purple we are all beautiful.
Let's stop the nonsense and make all of this past tense.
How can we make the World a better place when we're all judged based off our race?
Can we think of all of this as a race? ready,set,go....STOP.
Who will reach the top?
the blacks or the whites?
why is it based off types?
Like the black eyed peas where's the love?
Or is it a sin to give one another a hug?
God needs to send us all a message, because us the people could use a life learned lesson

/basketball

It was basketball season. Me and the team were eating pizza, We were all excited for this game because we KNEW we could beat them. Not to be cocky or anything but they really sucked.
We went to go change in the locker room and we were listening to music. We loaded the buses and the whole team was having a conversation about how they thought the game would go. When we arrived, the northwest girls were acting really stuck up like they actually won a game the whole season. when we were warming up I was missing all of my layups which made me really nervous, the timer went off for warming up. we all huddled up and the coach said “ go hard or go home. don’t underestimate this team.” Kyla counted us off saying on “ on 3 lady eagles..1...2..3..LADY EAGLES” I took a seat on the bench and watched Bre do jumpball. A mintue into the game coach said “ Tamari, go in for Bre” I was so happy because i felt like i had taken Bre’s place and coach just used her for Jumpball. when I went into the game Mariah gave me a wink and Kyla gave us “ the look “. Northwest had possession of the ball as the point-guard was taking it down court I stole the ball and got fouled. I  missed one of my free throws but made the other. Mariah gave me another wink and I finally caught onto what she was saying. I passed the ball to Mariah , Mariah crossed this girl up and made her fall she went up for the layup and she missed so she went up for the rebound and another Northwest player tried taking the ball out of her hands mariah flipped her off her back and the Ref blew the whistle. We had possession of the  ball again and Mariah went up for another layup and again she missed it. I went up for the rebound a northwest player fell on the ground trying to grab the ball from me,  was determined to keep the ball and she wouldnt let go so I lifted her off the ground and slammed her the whole crowd said “ oooooh “ then the ref blew the whistle. he walked up to me and said “ nothing good ever happens after the whistle is blown.” I was curious to what he meant by that, but I never questioned it. Everyone had scored that night even Ariel had her first points  that game. after the game was over everyone kept telling me,Mariah, and Kyla how we “went off” out on the court. I felt proud of myself like I had finally accomplished earning my title on the team. This game was one of the best games of my 8th grade basketball season.

God's Greatest Creation

Your one of God's greatest creations, that why I'd like to share this story with my nation.
Back when i waas 9 my mom was diagnosed with cancer, the doctors, they us left with no answers.
They never told us how this happend or if it would ever go away, so we all got down on our knee's and prayed.
Times got rough but she stilled managed to smile,I dont know how she always went an extra mile.
My mom often told me about the everlasting pain, The sun was always overshadowed by the rain.
It hurt to see our loved ones head stuck to the toilet bowl, me and my siblings felt like we were missing our whole.
My moms my  world,my everything, my pride, i don't know what I would've done  if she died.
I remember when she was on her death bed one night, she told me she wasn't going down without one last fight.
I couldn't believe God was going to take her that night.
I've only been with her 9years, that night my pillow was covered in tears.
I prayed and I Prayed that my mom wouldn't go to heaven, I pleaded I even begged him.
About a year later she was pronounced cancer free, after i heard that I felt like i had no worries.
This experience taught me a life lesson, my mom, that strong lady...she's a TRUE blessing. -This poem was wrtten for my mother who is now a cancer survivor.<3

Writing Project

I was told several times I couldn’t succeed in my dreams,
Family, loved ones, killed my esteem.
I say to myself hold your head high,
You have so much potential, in my dreams I will fly.
I wanna be somebody lend out my hand,
Those who struggle UNDERSTANDS !
Although I may struggle, many has worse,
God has a plan, your life is not cursed.
If you ever been told you couldn’t make it,
The Battles not over, God forsake it.
I’ve been in many situations, only one brought me out,
And that’s the man upstairs, never left in doubt.
Never let no one discourage you, bring you down,
Stand strong, believe, enjoy life while around.
I encourage one to never give in,
The DEVIL’S doing his job, you FALL..and he WINS!!
